More FUSION fashion and Juno dress worn by a barn boot clad Hick.

Okay, she isn't wearing her barn boots here but trust me, this missus works the John Deere.
I think you should wear your hat and boots with the skirt next year, missus...

The outfit is/was a draped pink shantung skirt, lots of folds and pinning and a touch of ribbon. I made a black jersey tank top and a faux snake skin jacket with sari lining. There is also a belt and a clutch that has a Led Zeppelin patch and is only big enough for a pantyliner...

As "lady beetle" (tee hee) had two events to attend, she also wore the black lace dress. She had red eye in the photos but I choose not to edit them out as she is a demon in this dress.
On a personal note, "she" is named Heidi and her lovely husband John won our hearts. We felt connected to them immediately and are happy to have brought our online relationship to the next level!

As for the fashion show, I was stalking using my Hunny's account and came across photos that a stranger took of the event.

Showcasing local designers - MJ MaJIc, Angelle Apparel and Mauzy Metalworks

Mauzy Metalworks makes fine jewelery inspired by the people and landscape of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Maker, Jessica Butler likes whacking metal with tiny hammers! Most jewellery is a bit bigger and graphic, but she does have a range of sizes.

Angelle Apparel has been turning it on, up and out for 8 years.
Hosting annual fashion shows and satisfying a diverse and devoted clientele , Andrea Edison, designer, owner, operator and staff, produces spunky garments that are brilliantly coloured, eye pleasing and edgy.

MJ MaJic designs youthfull attire. Her Pieces are sexy and creative, party dresses with attitude.
MJ is inspired by current theme in the NY Fashion District and purchases her materials directly from that scene.

New Dresses

I have been working my buns off with this Juno dress project. I am assisting Andria Edison ofAngelle Apparel with a fashion show she is planning for the 15th of April, which is in the middle of Juno week. I am making my own line of dresses for that fashion show and I am still trying to get the word out to buy local when shopping for your Juno outfit.
Here is the dress on the dolly now, there are two more being hand stitched at the moment.
I was on WAM this weekend talking about the Juno Dress and I am not done with my harassing. Dress the Juno's can be tied into the fashion show as well, which is shaping up to be quite an event, I'll tell you all about it as the time draws nearer.
While all this is going on I am also making my friend, Gillian's wedding dress. She wants a flapper style dress and I have been given a lux bag of silk (thanks Nerd!!) to make the dress with.
Nubby side.

Shiny side.

There is a beautiful mocha colour (Is it coffee dye or chemical??), the natural colour is white and I did a little tea dyed sample. One side of the fabric has a sheen, the other side is nubby. What do you think? Mocha, tea or white? Sheen or nub?
And while all this work is going on there is still the matter of raising kids and having a functioning relationship with my husband. Here are my boys posing and reading. Llew is disgusted by the sloppy kiss Wish just laid on him.
Look at those faces, we must be doing something right...
